Returns & Exchanges

At Pooch Patriot, we’re proud to serve pet parents with a hassle-free return and exchange policy that keeps you and your pup wagging. We accept returns and exchanges on eligible Pooch Patriot branded items within 30 days of receipt, provided they’re in like-new condition. Products from our U.S.-based partner vendors are handled directly by them, see below for details.
Eligibility Criteria
For Pooch Patriot branded items, to be eligible for a return or exchange, items must:
- Be unpersonalized (customized items, like embroidered collars, are non-returnable unless defective)
- Not be Clearance, Final Sale, or Open Box items
- Include all original packaging, tags, and components
- Show no signs of use (e.g., no dog fur, dander, dirt, stains, scratches, or odors)
- Be unwashed and undamaged
- Be returned within 30 days of receipt
Vendor Products
Items from our trusted U.S.-based partner vendors are subject to their individual return and exchange policies, typically allowing returns within 30 days for like-new items. Contact us at support@poochpatriot.com to initiate a vendor return, and we’ll connect you with the supplier’s process. Eligibility varies by vendor but generally aligns with our criteria above.
Grooming Products
Due to hygiene reasons, opened or used grooming products (e.g., shampoos, brushes) from Pooch Patriot or vendors are non-returnable unless defective.
Apparel
Dog and human apparel (Pooch Patriot or vendor) must be unworn, unwashed, and free of odors or hair. For Pooch Patriot apparel, we offer one free size exchange within 30 days, subject to eligibility. Vendor apparel exchanges depend on supplier policies - contact us to confirm.
Hard Goods
Our toys, collars, and leashes (Pooch Patriot or vendor) are built tough, but damage from excessive chewing or misuse isn’t eligible for returns. Supervise your pup during use, especially for determined chewers.
Return Process
For Pooch Patriot items:
- Contact us at support@poochpatriot.com to initiate a return or exchange.
- Ship eligible items back within 30 days using a trackable carrier.
- Allow 3-5 business days for inspection and processing once we receive your return. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, and funds may take 5-10 business days to appear.
For vendor items:
- Email support@poochpatriot.com to start the process.
- We’ll provide the vendor’s return instructions and address.
- Follow their policy (typically 30 days, like-new condition). Processing times vary by vendor.
Return Shipping
- Pooch Patriot items: Customers cover return shipping costs, except for defective or incorrect items. For orders over $50, we offer prepaid return labels within the contiguous U.S.—contact us to request one.
- Vendor items: Return shipping terms depend on the supplier’s policy. Most require customer-paid shipping unless defective. Contact us for details.
- International customers: Cover return shipping and any customs/duties for both Pooch Patriot and vendor items.
- Store credit bonus: Choose store credit for a 10% bonus on your return value (Pooch Patriot items only).
Damaged or Defective Items
If any item (Pooch Patriot or vendor) arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days at support@poochpatriot.com. We’ll coordinate a replacement or refund for Pooch Patriot items or connect you with the vendor for their products. Visit our Warranty Page for manufacturing defect claims.
Gift Returns
Gifts (Pooch Patriot or vendor) can be returned for store credit within 30 days, provided they meet eligibility criteria. Contact us at support@poochpatriot.com for assistance.
PO Box and Rejected Orders
We don’t ship to PO Boxes. If an order is returned due to an incorrect address or rejection, we’ll issue a refund (less shipping costs) upon receipt for Pooch Patriot items, or coordinate with the vendor. Contact us to reship at your expense.
Holiday Returns
Items purchased between November 1 and December 31 can be returned until January 31 for added flexibility (Pooch Patriot and vendor items, subject to respective policies).
Our Promise
Pooch Patriot and our U.S. vendor partners reserve the right to inspect returns and deny credit for items that don’t meet criteria.
