Pooch Patriot Return & Exchange Policy

We’re proud to serve Pooch Parents with a clear, hassle‑free return policy. To align with our drop‑shipping partners, we’ve streamlined our process and shortened our return window while ensuring fair treatment for our customers.

🗓 Return Window

Returns and exchanges are accepted on eligible items within 14 days of delivery.

🐾 Eligibility Criteria

Returned or exchanged items must:

  • Be unpersonalized and not made‑to‑order (custom or print‑on‑demand items are non‑returnable unless defective).
  • Include all original packaging, tags and accessories.
  • Show no signs of use (no fur, dirt, stains, scratches or odors).
  • Be unwashed and undamaged.
  • Be returned within 14 days of delivery.

Certain items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged: clearance/closeout items, bundled free gifts, and opened grooming products (unless defective).

🛁 Grooming Products

For hygiene reasons, opened or used grooming products—such as shampoos, balms or brushes—are non‑returnable unless they arrive damaged or defective.

👕 Apparel (Dog & Human)

Apparel must be unworn, unwashed and free of odors or hair. We do not offer free size exchanges; customers can request an exchange within the 14‑day period and cover return and reshipping costs.

🦴 Hard Goods

Collars, leashes and toys are built to last, but damage from chewing, rough play or inadequate supervision is not covered. These items can be returned only if unused or if manufacturing defects are identified.

📸 Defect Reporting Process

  1. Notify us within 7 days of delivery at support@poochpatriot.com.
  2. Include your order number, a clear description of the defect and photos showing the problem.
  3. We will coordinate with our vendors to offer a replacement, repair or refund according to their policies.

🔁 How to Start a Return or Exchange

  1. Email support@poochpatriot.com to obtain a return authorization.
  2. Use a trackable carrier and ship the item back within 7 days of receiving authorization.
  3. Once we receive and inspect the item, allow 3–5 business days for processing.

Refunds (minus original shipping and any restocking fees) will be issued to the original payment method. Funds may take 5–10 business days to appear.

🚚 Return Shipping & Restocking Fees

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, except for defective or incorrect items.
  • For domestic orders over $150, we offer a prepaid return label on request.
  • A restocking fee (up to 10 %) may apply to made‑to‑order or customized items.
  • International customers are responsible for return shipping and any customs or duty charges.
  • Store credit is available as an alternative to refunds but no bonus credit is offered.

🎁 Gift Returns

Items received as gifts may be returned for store credit only within 14 days, provided they meet the standard eligibility criteria.

✉️ Shipping Restrictions & Rejected Orders

We do not ship to PO boxes.

Orders returned due to incorrect or undeliverable addresses will be refunded minus the original shipping cost once we receive the package.

To reship, contact us to arrange payment for new shipping.

🎄 Holiday Returns

Items purchased between December 1 and December 31 may be returned through January 31, subject to all other policy conditions.

❤️ Our Promise

We reserve the right to inspect returns and deny credit on items that don’t meet our standards. To protect our community, we may limit returns from accounts with excessive activity. For products fulfilled by our partners, their specific terms will apply if they are stricter.
