With over 15 years of experience serving Veteran families, Paws and Stripes offers a variety of programs to fit the needs of our community. From our Veteran Service Dog program to or our ongoing individual therapy options we offer no cost services to Veterans and their families.

The Paws and Stripes Mission
With over 15 years of experience serving Veteran families, Paws and Stripes offers a variety of programs to meet the needs of our community.
Their services range from a 12-month Veteran Service Dog program, to a six-week companion animal program, to ongoing individual therapy options.
These low-cost or no-cost programs support Veterans and their families facing trauma, depression, PTSD, traumatic brain injury, military sexual assault, chronic pain, and suicidality.
Paws and Stripes Programs and Outreach
Service Dog Program
The VSD program is a rigorous course lasting roughly 12 months. Dedicated Veterans must commit to at least 15 hours of work each week including therapeutic services and canine training to graduate with a Paws and Stripes Service Dog.
Companion Animal Program (CAP)
A six-week course for Veterans or family members who are looking to train their pet or rescue and access additional therapeutic services at Paws and Stripes.
Sponsored in part through the SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program.
Individual Therapy
We offer Individual therapy at no cost to veterans, current serivice members, and their family members over 18 years old.
Case Management
Paws and Stripes case managers are skilled in helping clients reach their goals and connect with local resources.
Case management services are offered at no cost to veterans, current service members, and qualifying family members.
